I chose Sopron to explore the Fidelity Gate, and I picked Sopron Hotel solely for its convenient location. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the free WiFi throughout the property. The on-site restaurant at Sopron Hotel offers delicious meals and the opportunity to enjoy lunches and evenings with candlelight on the shadowy terrace.
The restaurant is overpriced for the quality of food provided. Additionally, on the night of a wedding, we were not informed in advance about the loud noise and smoking happening just under our window, which made it impossible to open for fresh air.

Personnel are nice and helpful.
I spent only one night at the hotel with my family. We booked one double and a single rooms. The hotel definitely did not meet our expectations. It needs serious refurbishing and renovation. Carpets are worn out, paint is old, doors need to be changed, etc. The whole place looks as if it has not been invested in since the 1980's. I consider myself a traveller and I would not give 4 stars for this hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at this luxurious hotel! The location was perfect, as it was within walking distance to the town centre and offered stunning views from its hillside position. The service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We were also impressed with the range of amenities available, from the well-equipped spa and wellness centre to the lovely garden area. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with modern amenities such as a flat-screen TV and a mini-bar. we could not have asked for a better experience!

The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. One particular situation that stood out to us was when we requested baby cots for our children. Although they were not initially ready in the room upon our arrival, the staff quickly prepared them for us, with our assistance, and apologized for the inconvenience. They made sure that our babies had a secure and comfortable sleeping environment. the free parking and playhouse for the babies were great amenities that we took advantage of. The location of the hotel was also perfect, just a short walk from downtown, making it convenient for exploring the beautiful architecture of the old part of town. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were clean and modern, with a fine view over the town. Breakfast and parking were included in the rate, which added to the overall value of our stay. We really enjoyed our time at the hotel and would definitely consider returning in the future. we had a fantastic experience and I highly recommend this hotel.

Good food, well, maintained the food at the hotel was really fantastic. the restaurant offered some excellent dishes, especially the gulas soup which was small but delicious. Another positive point was that the hotel was well, maintained, even though it was a bit old, fashioned. Plus, the location was very convenient for exploring the city.
Slow check, in, no indoor pool Unfortunately, there were a few things that let the hotel down. the check, in process was quite slow because there was only one person on reception and lots of people arriving at once.
